Can I use a Turbo Stick as my home Internet connection?

Contact us

A Turbo Stick is a complement to your home Internet service. It gives you access to the Internet on the go and can be used as a backup to your home Internet if you ever experience a service disruption.

If you are a very occasional home Internet user and decide to activate a Turbo Stick as a replacement to your home Internet service, consider the following:

  • Turbo Sticks do not come with an email address. You may lose your email address if it is provided through your current Internet provider and you will need to make sure that you have a Web-based email address. There are many free Web-based email options available.
  • Turbo Sticks require network coverage. Check for good mobile phone service where you tend to use your computer the most.
  • If you get your Internet security, firewalls, and anti-virus protection from your Internet service provider, you will need to replace these services.
  • Average speeds may differ. Check the typical speeds provided by your Internet service provider to ensure that a Turbo Stick will meet your needs.

Note: If you have both a Turbo Stick and home Internet service from Bell, you will be billed separately for each service and your usage will not be combined.

You can purchase a Bell Turbo Stick online and choose a data plan to suit your needs.
