Picture and video messaging, or Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), lets you take a picture or video with your mobile phone or smartphone and send it to another mobile device or email address.

Picture and video messaging, or Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), lets you take a picture or video with your mobile phone or smartphone and send it to another mobile device or email address.

Sending picture and video messages

You can send picture and video messages using any camera-enabled mobile phone. Here’s how:

  1. Select Menu.
  2. Select Camera or Pictures.
  3. Select Camera or Camcorder.
  4. Snap your photo or record your video.
  5. Select Send.
  6. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter the recipient’s contact information and send the message.

As of December 31, 2013 some CDMA phones will no longer be able to send picture and video messages.

Receiving picture and video messages

You can receive picture and video messages using any camera-enabled mobile phone or smartphone.

If you're unsure whether your mobile phone or smartphone can receive picture or video messages, please visit the phones and accessories page and select your phone model to consult your user guide.

Viewing picture and video messages

You can view a picture or video message simply by opening the message the same way you would a text message.

Storing picture and video messages 

Do you know which network your device uses?

If you have an EVDO/1XRTT phone, picture and video messages you have sent or received are automatically stored in an online album. This feature is not available on HSPA phones.

To access your online album, log in to mypictures.bell.ca using the password you set up when you first sent a picture or video message. Forgot your picture and video messaging password?

Sending picture and video messages to people outside Canada

You can send picture and video messages to mobile phone users subscribed to many different U.S. providers.
