Windows Live Mail 2011 email setup

You can use Windows® Live Mail 2011 to send, receive and manage your Bell Mail messages.

Important: You must connect to the Internet before proceeding with the instructions below.

To add Bell Mail to Windows Live Mail 2011:

  1. Select the Accounts tab and click on the Email icon.
  2. Enter your details for Bell Mail:
    • Email Address: enter your Bell Mail address (ex: john.doe@bell.net or john.doe@sympatico.ca)
    • Password: enter your Bell Mail password
    • Display name for your sent messages: enter your name
  3. Click Next
  4. Enter the following server settings:
    • Under Incoming server information
      • Server type: POP
      • Server address: pophm.sympatico.ca
      • Port: 995
      • Requires a secure connection (SSL): select the checkbox
    • Under Outgoing server information
      • Server address: smtphm.sympatico.ca
      • Port: 25
      • Requires a secure connection (SSL): select the checkbox
      • Requires authentication: select the checkbox
  5. Click Next

You can now access Bell Mail by clicking the folders on the left side of the screen.
