Accessing SkyDrive

  1. Log in to your Bell Mail account.
  2. Click SkyDrive at the top of the window

Using folders

To add a new folder:

  1. From the Files page, click New folder at the top of the page.
  2. Enter a name for your folder.

The default folder type is Documents. If you want to store photos in a folder and have them display on your Photos page, change the folder type to Photos.

To set the folder type:
  1. Check the box beside the folder name.
  2. In the menu that appears on the right, click Information.
  3. At the bottom of the Information list, click Change next to Folder type.
  4. Choose Photos and then click Save.

To change or delete a folder:
Click the check box beside a folder name to see a menu of options on the right of the page, such as Rename or Delete, or to view information about the folder, such as its type and size.

Copying files to SkyDrive

You can copy (upload) files of up to 100 MB in size.

  1. From the Files page, click Add files at the top of the page.
  2. To add files to a folder, click on the folder name to open it.
  3. Choose the file you want to copy to SkyDrive and then click Choose.

Click the check box beside a file name to see a menu of options on the right of the page, such as View, Edit, Move, Copy, Download, Rename and Delete.

Sharing files or folders

To share a document or folder with other people, you send them a link to the document on your SkyDrive.

  1. From the Document list, check the box beside the document or folder you want to share and choose Share from the menu on the right.
    Or
    From within a document, click the File menu at the top of the window and then click Share.
  2. In the Send email window, type the email address of the person you want to share with in the To field. You can include a personal message.
  3. Check or uncheck Recipients can edit.
  4. When you’re ready to send the message, click Share.

Turning comments on or off

You can allow people you’ve shared your photos with to comment on them.

  1. Click Profile under your display name in the top right corner of the window.
  2. Click Privacy Settings.
  3. Click Advanced, near the bottom of the page.
  4. Under Activities, adjust the Comments slider bar to change who can leave comments on your photos.
  5. When you’re done, click Save.

Turning notifications on or off

SkyDrive can notify you when someone comments on your photos.

To change this setting:
  1. Click the arrow beside your display name in the top right corner of the window.
  2. Under Messenger Social, click Notifications.
  3. Choose whether to receive notifications by email, Messenger or SMS (text message).
  4. Choose which email address or mobile phone number you want to use.
  5. When you’re done, click Save.
