How to use Digital Voice Visual Call Waiting

Contact us

Visual Call Waiting combines the benefits of Call Waiting and Call Display in one integrated service, so you’ll know both the name and number of waiting callers.

Visual Call Waiting also lets you know whether a call is local or long distance using unique beeps when you’re on the phone and unique rings when you’re not.

Using Visual Call Waiting
When you’re on the phone, you’ll hear a short beep for incoming local calls and one long and two short beeps for long distance calls. After one or two signals, the name and number of the caller will be displayed.

  • To answer the waiting call, briefly press the Link or Flash button.
  • To return to the original call or to alternate between callers, briefly press the Link or Flash button.
  • To end the first call before answering the second, hang-up. The phone will ring with the second call.
  • To ignore the second call, don’t do anything. The second caller will be transferred to Call Answer (if you subscribe to it).

Note: To view the name and number of the second incoming caller, a compatible display phone is required. If you don’t have a compatible display phone, you’ll still hear the beeps to indicate the second call.
