I have a problem with the sound on my Bell Fibe TV service

Follow these steps to help resolve the issue:

  1. Verify that the receiver has not been muted. If so, press MUTE on the remote control to restore sound.

    Also ensure that none of your other home entertainment equipment have been muted.

  2. Verify that your audio has been set properly for your television set. On some television sets, you may have to use the controls to set the television volume near the middle of its range before using the remote control included with your Fibe TV service to control the volume.
  3. Verify that the Fibe TV receiver audio output is connected to the back of your television or home theatre receiver and that you are using the correct cables. (Standard RCA cables for audio output are red and white.)

    Learn more about the connections available with your Fibe TV receiver.

  4. If the Fibe TV receiver audio output is connected to other home entertainment components, ensure they are set to the appropriate input sources (i.e. HDMI, etc.).

A.      Make sure the Descriptive Video Setting is set to OFF:

 

  1. Using your Fibe TV remote control, press the yellow SETTINGS button.

  2. Using the arrow buttons, scroll to the right to reach the Accessibility settings menu.

  3. Still using the arrow buttons, scroll down to reach the Descriptive Video settings.
  4. Verify that it is set to OFF and SAVE the settings.

B. Make sure the Digital Audio Setting is set to Stereo:
NOTE: Not all televisions or home theatre receivers are compatible with the multi-channel sound signal output from your Fibe TV receiver. This may cause intermittent sound disruptions.

 

 

  1. Using your Fibe TV remote control, press the yellow SETTINGS button.

  2. Using the arrow buttons, scroll to the right to reach the Audio and Visual settings.

  3. Scroll down to reach the Digital Audio settings.
  4. Verify that it is set to Stereo and SAVE the settings.

Follow these steps to help resolve the issue:

  1. Verify that all cables between the Bell Fibe TV receiver and the home theatre receiver are installed securely.
  2. Verify that the home theatre receiver is set to the appropriate surround sound audio mode.
  3. Verify that the home theatre receiver is properly configured to work with all connected speakers.
NOTE: If necessary, consult your home theatre user manual for further assistance.
